What is AI Tinkerers?

AI Tinkerers is a premier global community of active builders, engineers, researchers, and creative technologists who are actively developing foundation models and generative AI applications. We prioritize hands-on technical depth and working code over high-level pitches.

Our meetups feature live, 20-minute technology demos, science fair exhibitions, and interactive discussions where presenters dive deep into their stacks, context-engineering setups, and agentic workflows. To maintain a high-signal, collaborative environment, we enforce a manual screening process for all attendees. Registration is based entirely on technical merit and active builder status aka active repos on Github.

Who is this for?

We screen attendance to active builders with a shared level of expertise to create a collaborative environment ideal for early-stage discovery and innovation.

📅 Friday • June 19th, 2026 • 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (Approved guests receive the exact venue and access details via email)

Time Program Description
6:30 PM Doors Open Settle in, set up your laptop, and connect with other builders.
6:45 PM Community Demos Live, 20-minute technical show-and-tells. Strictly working code and demo, no slide decks.
8:15 PM Science Fair & Networking Hands-on, decentralized technical walkthroughs and peer-to-peer discussions.
9:00 PM Doors Close Wrap-up and departure.

Demos, Not Decks: Submit Your Build

This is a technical show-and-tell for builders, by builders. We want to see your messy experiments, creative hacks, and technical discoveries in action. Your demo should answer: “How did you build this interesting thing?” not “Why should someone use this product?”

We are actively looking for presenters to cover what they built, how they built it, and what another builder can reuse or avoid. Think code, architecture, how one built what they built. Demos are strictly live code or deployments—no slide decks allowed, and no product pitches allowed for your company/startup.

🤝 Partner with the Builders

We maintain a selective sponsorship model: only brands that ship get in. If your company builds infrastructure, models, or tooling that accelerates the work of engineers and researchers, we should talk.

  • Testimonials:
“The live demos were a highlight, especially SlateFront AI real-time animation generation and the LLM artifact generation in a sandboxed setup. I also appreciated the quality of the crowd—everyone present was genuinely building or deeply engaged in AI, which made the conversations incredibly valuable. Please keep the "builders-only" focus.”

Fast FAQ

Why is there a screening process?

A builder-only room lets us share unpolished code, raw experiments, and candid failures. We screen for active technical involvement to keep the signal-to-noise ratio exceptionally high.

What are the requirements to get in?

You must provide proof of hands-on work with AI (such as an active GitHub profile with public repos, or Replit) showing projects where you work with foundation models or managed LLM services.

Are slides allowed during demos?

No. We have an absolute ban on slide decks. Presenters must showcase raw, working, or even buggy code and live deployments to demonstrate how they orchestrate models and data flows. Show architecture, sequence diagrams through markdown in your repo if needed to explain concepts.

Can I bring a non-technical guest?

No. Everyone in the room must apply and qualify on their own technical merits.
